siman01is grant about? or does anyone else know what ds_length should be set to for long types in OpenAPI?08:03
siman01its defined as II_UINT2 in IIAPI_DESCRIPTOR but the PHP driver seems to set it to the length of the string which may not fit in a unsigned short, from looking at the OpenAPI code should it be set to 1(one)?08:08
grantcsiman01: it's set to the length of the segment you are sending08:10
grantcor is it the length of the buffer which contains the segment ...08:10
siman01grantc: so it should be set to segment length - that would make sense - I'm using 4*1024?08:11
grantcthe first 2 bytes of the buffer (II_UINT2) need to be set to the length of the segment and ds_length is the total length of the segment including the first 2 bytes08:13
grantci guess i should check the code as i am reciting from memory08:15
siman01are we mixing up dv_length and ds_length - I'm sure IIAPI_DATAVALUE.dv_length is set to the length of the buffer (segmentlength + 2), IIAPI_DESCRIPTOR.ds_length I was uncertain about08:15
grantcah right - yup08:17
grantcthe driver sets ds_length to the total length of the buffer08:17
siman01sorry my fault for not being clear08:18
grantcso if you are sending a 4096 byte lob then the value is 409608:18
grantci should have realised when you were talking about ds_ and not dv_08:18
siman01cheers I'll try that08:27
